FOURTEEN-year-old Emma Smith was one of several Tae Kwon Do students to pass the recent coloured belt grading exam at Farnham School of Tae Kwon Do, where she and her fellow Tae Kwon Do students demonstrated their ability in various aspects of the Korean martial art to a panel of black belts.
Emma has been training in Tae Kwon Do for just nine months but passed the grading with flying colours, achieving top marks in the grading and winning the Grading Award.
On presenting Emma with her yellow belt on promotion to 8th kup, her instructor, Tim Ayres-Townshend, said: “Emma has shown exceptional commitment and dedication since she started training. Her winning of the Grading Award is thoroughly well deserved and we are all confident that Emma can go on to achieve further success in Tae Kwon Do.”
