THE Conservative Party came out on top in the local elections today as all four Surrey County Council seats on offer in Farnham remained Tory blue.
The story was somewhat different in Haslemere, however, where independent Nikki Barton notched 20 more votes than Stephen Mulliner (Conservative) to take the win.
UKIP finished second in all Farnham divisions and came close in Farnham North, with Tory Denise Le Gal beating UKIP's Alexandra Swann by just 43 votes following two recounts.
The Conservatives also won a Waverley Borough Council by-election in Farnham, Wrecclesham and Rowledge, with Wyatt Ramsdale beating independent David Beaman.
