THE Deadwater Valley Trust has published its calendar of outdoor events for 2017.

This week saw the organisation jump wellie first into the new year with a Tots Ramble in the Woods on Tuesday.

And this weekend people are invited to get out and about and volunteer with the the trust in the Bordon Inclosure, near Quebec Park.

Tomorrow, volunteers will be helping with some practical conservation work. The event runs from 10am to noon and is not suitable for children under 15. The meeting place is the car park at St Lucia House.

There is no need to book, and volunteers can just turn up. “All you need is sturdy boots and enthusiasm,” said the trust in a statement.
