ALTON is to bid for a £50,000 government grant to help with energy efficiency.

A consortium of local organisations, businesses and public bodies including Alton Allotments Association, The Greening Alton and Holybourne Campaign, Alton Town Council, Alton Citizens Advice Bureau, Insulate Hampshire and Bottega dei Sapori are supporting for the bid.
