A GROUP campaigning to protect Farnham's river meadows, which are up for sale, is seeking public help to secure the land's registration as a "town green" under the Commons Act 2006.

The move is being spearheaded by solicitor Jo Aylwin, who explained that the requirement is to produce evidence from a significant number of people who have used the meadows for any lawful sports and pastimes.
