AS Alton is warned to brace itself to receive major development during the next five to six years, local councillors are keen to stimulate public debate about the future of the town.
Galvanised into action by the thought of a predicted 1,500 houses, to be forced on the area by government edict, local need and the proposed South Downs National Park, town councillor Allan Chick is urging people to give serious thought to location.
