SUNDAY'S annual Yuletide Festival looks set to be a bumper event, with Alton Town Council promising more festive entertainment, attractions and stalls than ever before.

Food, craft, gift, charity and market stalls will span the length of the High Street, from Crown Hill, where Christmas donkeys and alpacas will take up residence outside the Assembly Rooms – which will host yet more stalls and Father Christmas in his grotto – to M&S where children will be able to enjoy the Walls Funfair rides. Street entertainment will feature Alton Convent carol singers, the Kings Pond Shantymen, Alton Morris Dancers, Minden Rose Dancers, Salvation Army, Alton Rock Choir, Alton Concert Band and the Harvest Church.
