FARNHAM and its amenities, or lack of them, has become the subject of a fierce debate on the Internet.

The argument on social networking site Facebook has seen current and former town residents, young and old, lining up to defend the town or criticise what they see as a "ghost town" lacking decent shops or entertainment.
