IT was 93 years ago that the guns fell silent in the fields of northern France and Flanders to signal the end of the First World War.
There can't be many people still alive today who lived through the four-year conflict from 1914-18, let alone fought in the trenches.
But we will never forget their sacrifice – and as the fighting goes on elsewhere, we continue to remember.
Hundreds of people gathered in Petersfield last weekend to pay their respects to those who paid the ultimate price for their country.
