THE 30 feet Christmas tree is in place, the decorations are up, and Pudsey bear and his guests are eagerly awaiting the big switch-on in Petersfield Square on Friday.

Everything is set for a big night of family fun as the town starts its sparkling countdown to Christmas and celebrates BBC Children in Need night.
