CONGESTION is likely in East Street over the next week, with a pair of roadworks schemes set to bring temporary traffic lights between Dogflud Way and the Guildford Road junction.

Works by gas provider SGN on the A325 opposite Motest are set to continue until next Tuesday, June 6 - and will soon be joined by South East Water digging up the road opposite the Heavens Kitchen restaurant between this Sunday and Wednesday, June 7.

Temporary traffic lights are also scheduled on the A325 in Hale Road between the Six Bells pub and roundabout from June 5 to 12, as part of Virgin Media’s ‘strategic build plan’.
