THE family of an Odiham teenager who died in a single vehicle fatal collision at Fleet last Friday have paid tribute to the boy with "the bright smile." Callum Forbes (15) and fellow passenger John Bryant (18) from Hook sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. In a statement this week, Callum's parents, Diana and Rab said: "We miss our wonderful, beautiful charismatic son and brother to Alexander, Lachlann and Robert. He was a free spirit, sensitive to people and life. "Everyone who got to know him loved his bright smile. His friends were always important to him. "Our thoughts at this time are also with the other families, especially John's. "We hope that Callum's mates who did survive are able to recover from this terrible trauma." The three other occupants of the car, a 19-year- old, an 18-year old and a 15-year-old, all teenage males from the local area, were taken to Frimley Park Hospital. The incident occurred at approximately 2.50pm when a blue Peugeot 306 was in collision with a tree outside Calthorpe Park School in Hitches Lane at Fleet. The road was closed for approximately five and a half hours and reopened at 8.35pm. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the blue Peugeot 306 prior the collision to contact the Farnborough Roads Policing Unit quoting Operation Kennington on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
