WEYDON School is once again hosting a prestigious ‘Get into Teaching’ event for people in the area considering training to be a teacher.

The event, on Saturday, May 6, will be supported by some of the area’s most successful teacher training providers and will offer the opportunity to talk to teachers and current trainees about routes into teaching, the application process and bursaries available.

It follows on the back of two new promotional films directed and produced by former Weydon student Bradley Porter, who is known for his work on The Dark Knight Rises, Philomena and Bridget Jones’s Baby, among other hit movies.

The two films, which have ‘Be your favourite teacher’ as the theme, can be viewed online at www.i2ipartnership.co.uk.

The event will be held in Weydon’s new theatre and the school will be featuring its own teacher training programme, which includes the vast majority of subjects across the secondary curriculum.
