CHANGES in the provision of non-emergency patient transport services by West Surrey Health Authority are placing a huge strain on Haslemere's voluntary organisations.

The Haslemere branch of CARE, which provides volunteer drivers to take patients to medical appointments, has already reported two or three extra requests a day over the last week to take patients to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.
