THE ever-popular White Dove Collectors Transport Show will return on Sunday, August 6, held in support of local hospice care charity Phyllis Tuckwell.
More than 300 veteran, vintage and classic cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles will be on show at Kingsley Sports Ground, on Sickles Lane, near Bordon (GU35 9PD) from 11am.
As well as a wide range of impressive vehicles, the show will also include live music, an auto jumble, trade stands, refreshments, a bar, a barbecue and a tombola.
Last year the White Dove Collectors Transport Show raised more than £12,000, which has been used to pay for a new vehicle – a Peugeot Partner – which is being modified to accept wheelchairs.
It is expected to arrive at the hospice in August and will be used to transport patients to and from day hospice in Farnham, the Beacon Centre in Guildford and outpatient appointments.
Vehicles such as this, which are driven by PTHC’s volunteers, are hugely important to the charity and those it cares for, as without them some patients would not be able to access the care which they receive at the hospice and Beacon Centre.
For anyone who would like to exhibit a vehicle at the show, the cost is £5. Visit www.pth.org.uk/events/white-dove to download a registration form. For more information on the show, visit www.whitedoveevents.org.uk.
