MOTORISTS should plan ahead this Monday, as a closure of one lane on both sides of the A31 Hog’s Back between Farnham and Guilford, is expected to cause delays for up to two weeks.
The closure, which takes place from Monday, February 6. to Friday, February 17, is being carried out by Surrey County Council so that much-needed safety improvements can get underway – including the closure of the A31 central reservation gap opposite East Flexford Lane, which is located near the Guildford end of the Hog’s Back.
These works also include the installation of signage, verge masters, kerb installation and road markings.
With hope of keeping congestion minimal alongside the noise, Surrey’s contractors Kier, will be on site Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4pm, staying clear of the morning and evening rush-hour.
