PLANS to provide permanent sites for gypsies and travellers in East Hampshire have been dealt a blow, following news that government funding has been withdrawn.
Grant funding from the government-run Homes and Communities Agency was withdrawn on Tuesday as part of the coalition proposals to cut public spending, fuelling concern that the problem of traveller sites would continue to haunt local communities.
