TWENTY-four volunteers from a Farnham-based charity and the entire Farnham Youth Choir were among the tens of thousands of British travellers stranded amid the chaos wreaked as volcanic ash from Iceland grounded flights.
The 60-strong youth choir party, bearing trophies from an international choral festival in Verona, made a heroic return on Tuesday after a 20-hour journey in a coach hired for £5,500.
