ST ANDREW’S Parish Church in Farnham will be ablaze with twinkling lights and tinsel this December, with more than 80 trees being displayed in the 850-year-old church’s first ever Christmas tree festival.
Businesses, charities, churches, schools, community groups and individuals from across Farnham are getting ready to decorate trees of all shapes and sizes in time for the festival, which will open to the public from December 2 to 6.
The event has been designed by RHS gold medallist floral artist Sue Aston, and festive refreshments and musicians will entertain at various times over the five days.
Entry is free, and visitors are welcome between 9am and 5pm Wednesday to Saturday - with the exception of a later closing time of 7pm on the Thursday, and a later opening time of 12pm on the Sunday.
Any donations given in appreciation during the festival will be used for the ongoing upkeep of St Andrew’s Parish Church.
