AS the bid to list Alton's Lord Mayor Treloar Hospital fails, campaigners refuse to be down-hearted.
Buoyed by what they see as East Hampshire district planners' clearly acknowledged view that the hospital has local historical and architectural value, they point out that, even if not returned to healthcare use, the main existing buildings on the site could be converted to a wide range of uses, all offering benefits to the surrounding area.
