THE inaugural Tri-High Community Cross Country was blessed with sunshine and had close to 300 runners taking part, raising money for Liphook based charity, Dreams Come True.
The event, which took place at Highfield School, in Liphook, was supported by DCT Ambassadors Olivia Breen and Georgie Hermitage and organised by Triathlon England Race Official, Barnaby Gray.
First man to finish the race was Martin Footman, first woman Emma McReady.
Mr Gray told The Herald: “The success of events like these come down to the community coming together - athletes, officials, marshals and everyone else behind the scenes.
“I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone and we are already looking forward to holding a number of events over the coming months including Tri-High Go Tri event on Sunday, July 3.
“Tri-High look forward to supporting the Liphook Cycle Ride on Sunday, June 12, in support of Dreams Come True as well as the new organisers who have taken over this annual event.”
