AROUND 800 people gathered in the grounds of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice on Monday for the charity’s annual Light up a Life service.

Held to remember those close to our hearts who are no longer with us, the service included readings by hospice president Chris Tuckwell and Farnham mayor Pat Evans.

There were prayers and blessings from Phyllis Tuckwell’s chaplains, and carols were led by Farnham Brass Band accompanied by the Kindred Spirits Choir.

The lights on the hospice’s Christmas tree were also switched on, to represent the lives of lost loved ones.
