IT'S meant to highlight the importance of the wool trade to Petersfield and will cost a princely £2,500 to erect in the town centre.

But councillors aren't in love with the design of the sculpture earmarked for The Spain, with one comparing it to a "triple McDonald's burger".

The edifice – carved out of Portland stone and meant to represent a bale of wool – is one of 20 that will line the route of the Shipwright's Way.
