THE triumphant Farnham Youth Choir returned home from the United States last Friday having scooped gold and silver medals in the World Choir Games, the largest choir competition in the world.

Youngsters aged 11 to 18 years old made the trip Stateside to Cincinnati and beat choirs from all over the globe to win gold in the Youth Choirs of Equal Voices category and silver in the Musica Sacra category.

As well as representing Great Britain in the World Choir Games, following a nomination by the Association of British Choral Directors, the youth choir also visited New York before catching the flight home.
