CHILDREN and adults enjoyed some outdoor half-term fun last week, joining the Deadwater Valley Trust for ’Bugs, Butterflies and Bubbles’.
Ranger Jenny Clarke said it was a “fantastic event”, attended by 80 people.
Held last Thursday, the day saw children and adults out on a bug hunt, before examining their findings under a digital microscope.
Then attendees were able to create giant butterfly wings from bamboo canes and crepe paper (an installation which has been left in the Bordon Inclosure), and they learned, through craft, about the lifecycle of butterflies.
They also blew bubbles with handmade bubble wands.
