A THREATENED historic club in Farnham has been handed a dramatic reprieve after club members voted to oust three trustees. The Farnham Liberal Club in South Street, built 120 years ago by one of Britain's greatest architects Edwin Lutyens, looked set to close after its trustees said members could no longer afford the building's upkeep. However, members acted decisively to relinquish the trustees' membership of the club, apparently handing the fate of the building back into their own hands.
