LIPHOOK-based children’s charity, Dreams Come True, are urging all budding sports stars and enthusiasts to sign up to the annual Try-a-Tri event.

Tri-High Multi-Sports Club will welcome the local community on Sunday, June 18, to have a go at a triathlon - involving swimming, cycling and running for children and adults. The family friendly triathlon series, which is due to take place at Highfield School, is open to all.

A barbecue will mark the end of the event, with the opportunity to picnic in the school grounds afterwards.

Barnaby Gray, founder and chairman of Tri-High Multisports Club said: “There will be plenty of options and choices on the day – whether you choose to swim, bike and run, or just do one or two of the disciplines. The point is to have fun, while raising money for a worthwhile cause.”

Entry is £10 and a percentage of the proceeds will go to Dreams Come True, the charity with the simple mission to make dreams come true for children with serious and life-limiting conditions. Over the last 29 years, the charity has fulfilled the dreams of more than 5000 children and young people to meet their heroes, enjoy amazing experiences, visit special places and more.
