FORMER England cricketer and sports celebrity Phil ‘The Cat’ Tufnell successfully overcame the fear of heights he acquired on ITV’s The Jump and launched himself off the top of Guildford Cathedral tower for an abseil in aid of The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury.
“The abseil was terrifying,” he said. “I was determined to do this as I always like to do whatever I can to help raise awareness of the charity but it took a bit of persuading. I am very proud of my wife Dawn, who also did this challenge to help me overcome my fright.”
Phil and Dawn climbed 249 steps to reach the top, before abseiling the 160ft tower.
