A FARNHAM backpacker has spoken of his narrow escape after leaving an Australian hostel 12 hours before it was set ablaze killing 15 people.
Stephen Chapman (19), now back at home in Treecrest Drive, Weybourne, left the Palace Backpackers Hostel in Childers, Queensland at around midday on Friday.
