POLICE responded to calls of a stabbing in Low Lane, Badshot Lea, on Saturday evening. At around 8 pm, a 36-year-old man received minor stab injuries to his leg along with slash injuries to his arms and back of head. He was taken to Frimley Park Hospital by ambulance and was discharged the following day after treatment. Police enquiries are under way and officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Three men are believed to have committed the offence and two are described as black and over six feet tall, while the third is said to be of mixed race. Later that same evening, police enquiries revealed a second male, aged 25, had also received minor slash injuries to his face and hands, and is believed to be a victim of the same gang. He was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital for treatment. DCI Dave Burmingham said: "We would like to emphasise that these were isolated incidents that were undoubtedly as a result of drugs activity and not random attacks on members of the community. "The matter is being treated seriously and investigations are under way. While police enquiries continue, enhanced high visibility police patrols have been dedicated in the area." Anyone in the area on Saturday evening, or anyone who has information, is asked to contact the officer in the case Dc Lee Hazell in the strictest confidence on 0845 125 2222. Alternatively calls can be made to Crimestoppers anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555111.
