TWO people remain in hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a number of chopper-style motorcycles in Castle Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which happened at around 2.30pm on August 19 and left two bikers and a pillion passenger with “potentially life-changing” injuries.

The casualties were treated at the scene by the South East Coast Ambulance Service and taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Surrey Police confirmed on Tuesday morning that two of the motorcyclists remain in hospital with serious injuries, but these are no longer believed to be life-threatening or changing.

The third motorcyclist has been discharged from hospital.

A police spokesman said: “We believe that the collision may have involved, or been witnessed by, a number of other motorcyclists who left the scene before police arrived - and we are very keen to trace that group, or anyone who may have seen their manner of riding in the minutes immediately before or after the collision.

“The motorcycles are described as being of the ‘chopper’ or ‘Harley Davidson’ style of bike.

“Anyone who was part of the group of motorcyclists, or saw them in or around Farnham between 2pm and 3pm on August 19 or may have dashcam, video or stills images of their motorcycles is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference P17210763, in order to help officers understand how the victims were injured.”

Castle Hill was closed for a number of hours on Saturday in order for the emergency services to complete their work, and the scene to be cleared.
