HEALTH chiefs were set to make a considerable u-turn last night (Thursday) by allowing 13 elderly mentally ill patients to stay at Farnham Hospital's Tanner Ward.
Members of West Surrey Health Authority were recommended to reject proposals to transfer patients to a Godalming nursing home and to continue instead with original plans to build a new home on the Farnham Hospital site.
