DEVELOPER Crest Nicholson Sainsbury's has performed a U-turn in assessing the traffic disruption in prospect from building a temporary bridge to the East Street development site.

Less than a year ago, the developer warned of dire tailbacks on the A31 at Hickleys Corner if it could not send construction traffic through the town and had to build the bridge.
