WAVERLEY Conservatives triggered a political row this week when they branded the attendance record of three borough councillors who now make up the official opposition a "disgrace".

The ruling Conservative group on the borough council accused Ewhurst councillor Diane James, who leads the UKIP three, and councillors Elliott Nichols (Farnham Firgrove) and Brett Vorley (Cranleigh East), of failing to attend 50 per cent of council meetings.
