STAFF from the University for Creative Arts in Farnham were due to join thousands of fellow lecturers and thousands of students from around the country at the national demonstration for higher education in London on Wednesday.

Last week in Parliament, Higher Education Minister David Willetts announced Government plans to allow universities to treble the fees they charge - up from the current £3,250 a year to a proposed maximum £9,000.
