CHARGES in Waverley Borough Council car parks are to rise from April 1.

The existing and new charges for Haslemere are:

High Street Car Park, current charges: up to 3/4 of an hour 35p; first two hours 50p; third and fourth hours 35p; per hour thereafter 50p.

New charges for first three hours remain unchanged; fourth hour 45p; per hour thereafter 50p. Tanners Lane, current charges: up to two hours 40p; over two hours £1.80.

New charges: up to two hours 40p; over two hours £2.

Weydown Road, current charges: up to 2 hours 30p; over two hours £1.80.

New charges: up to two hours 30p; over two hours £2.

Season tickets, current charges in brackets: High Street (strictly limited) (£640) £740; Tanners Lane (£360) £420; Weydown Road (£360) £420; Chestnut Avenue (£400) £450.
