RESIDENTS are invited to the annual Whitehill and Bordon Town Meeting on Monday, when the district council and developers will present an update on the town’s redevelopment.

Refreshments will be available from 6.30pm and the meeting will start at 7pm at Whitehill village hall. The first agenda item is the Whitehill Town Council Contribution to the Community Awards 2016, with awards in the under-18 and over-18 categories.

Residents will be able to hear an overview of the town’s regeneration from East Hampshire District Council representatives and from the developers of Quebec Park, Louisburg Barracks and the proposed new town centre development at Prince Philip Barracks.

Whitehill Town Council will provide an overview of the council’s work over the past year, including reports from East Hampshire district and Hampshire county councillors. The meeting will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

Town mayor Sally Pond said: “Here is a chance to learn about how your town is being regenerated and I encourage residents to attend to find out what is happening.”

Town council leader Adam Carew added: “We have a very exciting evening planned. Following our Community Awards there will be a fantastic opportunity for residents to come and hear the latest updates from the district council and the developers concerning the future of our town.

“There will be every opportunity to ask questions of our expert panel, and to put questions to our elected councillors.”
