BORDON football team FourClubs United took part in a tournament at the AFC Bournemouth ground. The team was put together - with the support of Wey Valley FC, Liphook United, Liss Athletic and Headley Youth FC - for youngsters with learning difficulties. Team players took the opportunity to walk through the official players' entrance, to use the dressing room and to meet an AFC Bournemouth player at the tournament, at the Fitness First Stadium, on May 11. The team played four league matches. In the final play-offs the team started out in fourth place, but they won the match and went through to the third place play-off. The team won 1-0 and came third in the tournament. Secretary Nigel Welch said: "Some great goals were scored by a number of the club's players and they all played their best games of football to date. "The games were very competitive and the first and second-place winners were of a very high calibre. "AFC Bournemouth had also arranged for one of its top players, defender Joshua Gowling, to attend the day and all our players got his autograph and had their photo taken with him. "A great day was had by all - this was a great experience for them all and one they will never forget." Despite the end of the football season, FourClubs will still be training at Mill Chase Leisue Centre, in Mill Chase Road, Bordon. To find out more, contact manager Sean Bicknell 01420 476550.
