A HOOLIGAN smashed the window of Alton Community Centre last week, causing £300 worth of damage. At around 11-45 pm on Wednesday, the vandal hurled a brick through the window. Recently-installed CCTV equipment has captured an image of the offender, pictures of which can be seen at the centre. Tony Thorn, the vice-chairman of Alton Community Centre, is appealing for help in identifying the culprit. "We're spending at least £100 per week repairing the damage caused by these vandals. "Anyone who can help identify the offender can see posters I've put up at the community centre."
