THE Flintstones would have struggled to eat the slabs of meat that the "Gauchos" were selling from their stall on The Square. But you didn't have to be a caveman or a Michelin inspector to appreciate the vast array of options at the Petersfield Festival of Food and Drink. The town centre became a melting pot last weekend as the popular festival made its long-awaited return to The Square and High Street. The two-day event was a Valhalla for foodies as it featured cuisines from South East Asia to South America along with plenty of local fayre. Variety was the key with the event featured a healthy blend of stalls, selling everything from bread, olives and chutneys to Vietnamese baguettes. For full story, see this week's Petersfield Herald.
