A CHANGE of venue proved lucky for the organisers of Oakhanger's festive craft fair.
Instead of taking place on the village green, it was held in the Candle Barn at the home of Tim and Emma Turnbull - and was a great success.
Chief organiser Carol McMeekan and her team laid on a colourful fair, filled with 26 stalls selling a variety of craftwork, much of it locally made, as well as cakes, sweets, jewellery and Christmas goodies.
There were also charity stalls, including one for Surrey Action For Equine, and a stall selling candles, given for the fair by Penny Boson, who used to run the Candle Barn.
