A FARNHAM resident has urged dog owners to be aware of the dangers of adders after her pet was bitten in the face by one of the venomous snakes.

Caroline Wheatley was riding her horse in Tilford, opposite the Bourne Woods, on July 26 when she noticed her dog Jake looking ill and unsteady on his feet.
