THE 2016 Farnham Lions Easter Eggstravaganza has now been finalised and the winner of the competition for the best individual location went to Tilford Village Stores which filled two name boards, presented two eggs to their supportive customers and collected a massive £229.
The shop was presented with the prize of two all-weekend tickets to Weyfest 2016 headlined by the Darkness and Boomtown Rats (more details on weyfest.co.uk) by Colin Webb of Weyfest along with incoming 2016/17 Lions president Barbara Wright, outgoing president Simon Moran Smith, and Alison Fairhurst of the Lions Eggstravaganza committee.
This year Farnham, Fleet and Aldershot Lions distributed more than 120 eggs and collected a net £6,300, another great result, taking the total collected locally to over £70,000. The cheque will be presented to Kent Surrey and Sussex Air ambulance in the next few weeks.
The Lions would like to thank everyone of the locations and participants for their support for this essential service.
