SELBORNE has been rocked by a "mysterious" illness that has killed one dog and left residents fearing for the safety of their animals and children.

More than 10 dogs are known to have fallen ill, one has died from renal failure and another is in intensive care, after walking across land owned by the National Trust at Church Meadow and Short Lythe.
