THE?countdown is under way for three days of bank holiday family fun in Petersfield.

Petersfield Spring Festival returns from May 25-27 and is expected to attract thousands of funseekers to the town.

Organised by Petersfield Festivals, and run by Steve Jacob and Ben Errey, this year's event features The Herald Festival of Transport, a two-day market, and a wealth of entertainment on a stage in The Square.

Festival co-organiser Mr Jacob said: "We are proud to be working with The Tindle Group to hold the first leg of The Herald Festival of Transport as part of our spring festival.

With up to 200 classic, super and special vehicles descending on the town centre on the morning of Sunday, May 26, it will certainly be worth seeing.
