RETRO will be all the rage when the Rural Life Centre’s Vintage Revival weekend steps into the spotlight early next month.

Capturing the halcyon days of the 1940s and 50s, the event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2 and will pay tribute to a time that seemed timeless.

There will be music from the Wield Glenn Miller Band, the Dust Bowl Sinners, The Boot Heel Playboys, Steve Conway and Amanda Jane. Tickets are also available for a rock n’ roll evening dance with music from The Roosters, offering the chance to dust off and improve those Lindy Hop and jive skills.

And kicking off the weekend will be an open-air screening of Some Like It Hot on Friday, August 31. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Visitors are encouraged to enter into the spirit of the weekend by dressing up for the occasion and a prize will be awarded to person wearing the most authentic and eye-catching costume.

Stallholders will be selling wares from the past and the present, and classic cars will add a few stylish revs to this not-to-be-missed gathering.
