A CELEBRATORY lunch was held at Farnham House Hotel for the Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society to thanks its volunteers.

The society wanted to thank its volunteers for all the hard work they have done over the past year, which in total adds up to over 4,200 hours. Long service awards were handed out to a number of volunteers who have been with the society for over five years, while some have volunteered for over 15 years.

The society has 69 volunteers who help in a variety of different roles, such as gardening, serving tea and coffee, outings, companionship, IT support, activities, playing the piano, hospital escort and many more.

The volunteers are an important part of the society and help residents enjoy their life to the full.
