Hundreds of volunteers who help make Farnham a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and visit have been thanked by Farnham Town Council as part of Volunteers' Week.
The council has paid tribute to the dedication, enthusiasm and generosity of people who give their time to support community events, care for green spaces and assist local organisations and charities across the town.
Mayor of Farnham Cllr Graham White said: "Volunteers are at the heart of our community. Their commitment and willingness to give their time make a real difference to the lives of so many people.

"During Volunteers' Week, we want to say thank you to everyone who volunteers in Farnham. Whether you give an hour, a day or many years of service, your contribution is valued and appreciated."
The council gave particular thanks to volunteers involved in Farnham in Bloom, whose work throughout the year helps create the floral displays, community planting projects and environmental initiatives that have earned the town national recognition.
Their efforts not only enhance the appearance of the town but also bring people together and encourage civic pride.
Volunteers also play a key role in Farnham's programme of events, assisting at occasions such as the Food Festival, Remembrance Sunday and the Christmas Market, as well as supporting arts, cultural and community activities throughout the year.
The council said it was equally grateful to people who volunteer regularly and those who give their time for a single project or event.
Cllr White added: "There's no doubt that volunteers make the town a better place for everyone. If you know of somebody who deserves extra special recognition, please do consider nominating them for a Services to Farnham award."
Details of how to nominate somebody for a Services to Farnham award can be found on Farnham Town Council's website.
