SURREY Independent Visitor Service is looking for men and women volunteers to regularly visit and make friends with a child in care.

The service, run by Surrey County Council, organises regular visitors for children and young people aged 10 to 17 who are in care.

Volunteers will get the chance to attend a free two-day introductory training course and will be matched with a child who shares similar interests.
