A WAVERLEY borough councillor has declared war on dog fouling in Farnham and the "unpalatable and inconsiderate" behaviour of some dog owners.
Martin Lear, councillor for The Bourne, is spearheading the campaign after growing sick of cleaning dog mess from his family's shoes.
He claims to have gathered the support of many Farnham councillors, as well as financial support from Waverley Borough Council to fight the problem.
Mr Lear said: "I do hope we can shame some of the offenders into doing the right thing and collecting their dog's waste and disposing of it in a more environmentally friendly way."
